I'm in New Zealand, which is in the Southern Hemisphere - which means right now, it's the end of summer for me! As the weeks grow colder, I'm often stuck watching as stardolls' skirts grow shorter and everyone sheds their coats, while in real life I'm snuggled up in an ever-increasing number of blankets.

So, what do I wear on stardoll? The answer is, whatever I want to! The awesome thing about online games is that it really doesn't matter where you are, how warm or cold it is, just that you're happy with the way things look.

So no matter the weather, you can wear whatever!

How To (not) Look Seasonal:

  • Avoid colours and items associated with certain times of the year
    • Pastels are for Spring
    • Red with green is for Christmas time
    • Light coloured florals are for warmer months
    • Beanies are for the cold
  • Wear things that counteract each other
    • Summer sandals with winter furs
    • Spring pastel colours in heavy winter layers
    • Wear dark, wintry colours in light, flowy layers
    • Thin strappy shoes with thick ofercoats
  • Mix in non-seasonal items like:
    • Denim
    • Natural toned accessories
    • Gold and silver
    • Black and white
  • Go crazy for lengths
    • Pair long things with short things
    • Layer sheer dresses and shirts over pants and skirts

" Fᴀsʜɪᴏɴ is the only game you can win by breaking the rules."
There are rules for everything, including the thing that makes us most different and creative from one another --Fashion. I'm going to be breaking 5 fashion "rules" in these spring ensembles.

Rule № 1 - Don't Mix Prints

This is probably my favorite fashion rule out of all of them. Not only is this a fabulous rule to break, but it really allows you to have fun with your outfit and test your creativity as well. In this outfit, I chose to create the greatest fear of the followers of this rule -- Polka Dots and Stripes. Someone have mercy on the soul that dare mix these two patterns together. I think the main concept that really pulls this look together is the neutral tone, but I highly encourage and commend anyone that mixes patterns with bright, bold colors.

Items used:

Decades - Geometric Mod Shift
Millionaire Mansion - Double Stripes Coat
It Girls - Lace Thigh Highs
It Girls - Striped Socks
Nelly - High Heel Platform Boot
Callie's Picks - Orange Clutch
Callie's Picks - Beaded Bib Necklace

Rule № 2 - Match Your Belt with Your Shoes

This is such a simple rule to break that I decided to make this outfit only SC. Mixing your belt and shoes is such a good way to go because you can slip a pop of color in such a versatile way. In my outfit, I chose to insert a fun statement pattern through the shoes to add a little more dimension to the outfit. Also, the fact that the shoes have pink, which matches the blouse, make the entire outfit come together much more smoothly with the unique shoe pattern.
Items used:
Make Your Mark - Piped Jacket BlackWhite
*Callie's Picks - Silk Blouse
Pretty N Love - Classic Wool Crepe Pants
Voile - Taupe Bow Belt
Fallen Angel - Tarot Tin Box
Voile - Voile Gold Cuff
Wild Candy - Leopard T Strap Platforms

*This SC item is a current CP item

Rule № 3 - Save the Sequins for the Night

Sequins are a beautiful thing to make any piece in your outfit pop. You can style them very simply or with extreme extravagance (which is what most people choose to do). In this outfit, I styled it as simply as I could. I went with sequins in a dark green color to keep it serious and not so showy as sequins are meant to be. I finished the look off with a pair of simple black pumps to keep it versatile.

Items Used:
Callie's Picks - Victorian Collar Blouse
Inspired by Chanel - Sea Foam Skirt
Free Item - Dior Inspired Velvet Jacket
Vinyl - Black Sheer Pantyhose
Couture Tribute - All Over Sequins Clutch
Velvet Orchard - Studded Stilettos

Rule № 4 - Don't Pair Socks with Sandals

Socks and sandals are the biggest trend that's up and coming, especially for those who like to dress high fashion. In this look, I went for an soft and cute look, but with a lot of high fashion inspiration. To fill in any misplaced-looking space, I paired some light pantyhose underneath the socks. I decided to do the same at the top by placing a turtleneck underneath the dress to keep it filled and looking much more complete.

Items Used:
Special Offer - Candy Inspired by Prada Dress
Bonjour Bizou - Classic White Sweater
Buy & Get - Kiss Me Tights
Killah - Pastel Ankles Socks
Callie's Picks - Black Valentino Platforms
Inspired by Chanel  - Chunky Chanel Necklace

Rule № 5 - Save the Sneakers for the Gym

Instead of opting for ballet flats, choose sneakers. Sneakers are so versatile and make any outfit simple and casual. Try pairing a dress with white sneakers for a simple street style look. I kept with the street style by pairing a leather jacket with a simple detailed dress making the white sneakers an easy match to tie the outfit together.

Items Used:
Bonjour Bizou - Lace Pervinca Dress
Callie's Picks - Jacket Inspired by Philip Lim
Voile - Buckle Clutch
Callie's Picks - Groot Socks
HOT HOT BUYS - Hot Hot Buys Chained Necklace
Nelly - Low Rise Sneakers

What's your favorite fashion rule to break?
I hope you guys were inspired to break the rules of fashion and be outgoing with your styling. Hope you guys liked these outfits. Let me know in the comments what you think.

Brand-new and already flying off the shelves, the Vinyl Black Lace Camisole Dress is only 19 sd and has made its way into my closet, and a lot of yours too! These dolls prove just how versatile this dress can be.

Barbiiie_e  - This all-black ensemble is classy, classic and could take you anywhere

TasminS - sporty and street-styled,  this is the kind of outfit you'll see all over pinterest, instagram,facebook... the list never ends

_Ligth_Angel_ - More demure and simple, this bright outfit bravely pairs pants and dresses together!

Lucy aka Sunnysidessue here with your Vinyl Review - Firstly, I am super impressed with the amount of starcoin items they've collected!

It's always awesome to get items that are available for every doll to use. These ones are all super usable,  and there's even one piece for the guys!

What I loved:

Surprisingly, the store window! More often than not, stardolls' outfit choices in these can be ... questionable, bu this one actually looks like something that I'd wear myself! Bravo.

The prices! As I've already mentioned, there's plenty of starcoin items, but even the stardollar ones aren't too bad.

Also, the interior items. Usually, we get one or the other, so it's super cool to see that stardoll is beginning to combine the two into one cohesive, usable collection on a more regular basis.

My Picks:

Left - The Black Lace Camisole Dress is pretty much my new essential! It's great for layering, it;s sheer, it's black, it's a little pricey t 19sd but not too bad.

Middle - I have to say, the name of the High Waist Simple Dress is a bit weird, as it isn't high wasited, but otherwise it's perfect! It's black, it's in starcoins, it's well-designed and very flirty.

Right - Of course, I couldn't leave out this jacket, even if it is for the boys! The Curdroy Jacket also has an odd choice in name, but the deep blue colour and cool texture makes up for that.

What I Hated

Unfortunately, there's always something. This time, it's the jeans - we must have had at least 10 pairs of these jeans by now. They look identical. They're the same shape, colour, and fit as last time. These ones do have some cool graphics going on but that isn't a good enough reason to recycle them yet again.

That polka dot print. There's no excuse for it. Both items would have been a million times nicer without this messy, weird-looking print all over them. Up close, there's a lot of cool detail, but this print is just so loudly tragic that is covers up any redeeming features these items may have had.

What I hope:

That we continue to get more stores along with vein, and of course for more starcoin, male, and interior items!

Hi, dollies!

So the new LE collection was out this Friday and even though I couldn't get most of the pieces I liked the most (and I blame busy university life for that - haha!) I still could get my hands on - in my opinion - one of the most original LE pieces I've seen... and that is the LE cutout bodysuit.

I don't know why I liked it so much, honestly, but I think it may be because it's so versatile - it can be dressed down, worn with jeans and a blazer, or it can be worn for a gala. And that is precisely the outfit I decided to create with it!

Items:
Stardoll ft. Charley24 White Choker Necklace
LE Cutout Bodysuit
YH Gaga Oscars Trousers
Film Theory Classics White Pearlized Long Skirt
YH Rooney Oscars Heels

I hope you like the look!
I want to see how you would style it in the comments section :)

Hey dolls! So Stardoll started off this weekend with a brand new LE Release called LE: The High Fashion Edit. Although I personally didn't buy anything, I thought the items featured in this release were quite nice, and I was really satisfied with what they've given to us this past week.
Here are some of my Top 5 Picks from the release.

Pick Nº 1 - LE Sheer Bodysuit

Personally, I'm a fan of interesting and risque pieces because of all the unique outfits you can make with them. I love experimenting with different pieces rather than a basic top that can be found at three other stores in different colors. I love how LE executes these pieces so nicely and in such a high fashion form.

Pick Nº 2 - Leather Belted Pants

These pants in general are just perfect. They're so versatile and easy to style. Despite the same design being presented in different stores throughout different times, I love the checkered detailing and leather highlights that they added in. It definitely gives a unique feel to it compared to most of the black trousers that have been released.

Pick Nº 3 - Patchwork Dress

This dress is probably my favorite piece out of the entire collection. It's so fun and colorful and also a rather easy styling piece. I also think the colors go really well and really set this piece aside from many others. Although, the major downside of this piece is the price. No matter how beautiful this piece may be, I will definitely not pay 130SD for this.
Pick Nº 4 - Metallic Sphere Earring

I really love the separate earrings that have been appearing recently. Their designs have been really beautiful designs, and they haven't been overpriced (although, I still think 19SD is a bit much for one earring; then again, it is LE).

Pick Nº 5 - Blush Flowy Dress

Finally, this beautiful fairy-tale gown. I really love the color and how soft and wearable it is for many people (especially if you're not into outrageous colors and intricate pieces). The tulle and sheer aspects of the gown create a simple yet delicate dress, and it all comes together really nicely, but again, disappointed with the prices on some of these pieces, Stardoll.

Disappointments:

The main thing I found really disappointing about this LE release (and many other LE releases as well) were the overpriced items. They create beautiful pieces, but we don't deserve to be overcharged on hard saved SDs. They also included some items that were released in previous LE collections, but with less effort (like the Distressed Fabric Jeans).

What did you think about the LE release?

Leave some comments down below, I'd love to hear from you guys. Also, some outfits and minibooks are coming soon!

Hi, dollies!

So C9T3 has gone by, and it left us with amazing works from our club members! This time, the theme was: what superpower would you like to have? Look at the amazing representations our members did of this idea.

dollwars34 would like to time-travel!

"My Superpower of choice would be time travel. I would love to just live in a different time period and see what my future would be like. You would also get to experience undocumented events as well."

elyssedeloro would love to have the teleportation superpower!

"The superpower I would love to have is the ability to teletransport myself at will anywhere. That way, I could almost instantaneously go from one place to another in a matter of seconds. No hassle traveling!

The 1st panel shows me starting to teletransport. The 2nd panel shows me as I am dematerializing during the transport. The 3rd panel shows me re-materializing at the destination point, where I am relieved and exhilerated to have made it safely there."

neelanjana18 would try a cloning superpower!

"I want to be able to produce more "me"s i.e. cloning. So that I could do all my work easily."

What do you think of these awesome sceneries?
What superpower would YOU choose?

Have a nice day, until next post!

Hi, dollies!

The new Callie's Picks collection came with an item that, in my opinion, is essential for any fashionista's wardrobe: the Everyday Long Blazer (which is in Starcoins!) I bought this item when it was out on the It Girls store, and seeing it come back to the Starplaza was so cool! I'm so happy for all the dolls who missed the item and who can now buy it.

This blazer is amazingly useful as it perfectly complements any type of outfit. It looks good with short dresses, jeans or skirts, and it makes our outfits look more complete, like a final touch.

Here are two outfits I came up with wearing this blazer:

Look 1 - Total Starcoin look:
Callie's Picks Everyday Long Blazer - 160 sc
Vinyl Hipster 70s Style Tshirt - 100 sc
Basic White Skinny Jeans - 40 sc
Vinyl Vans Inspired Sneakers - 90 sc

Look 2 - Stardollars:
Callie's Picks Everyday Long Blazer - 160 sc
9to5 Cropped White Cute Top - 14 sd
Callie's Picks Baham Trouser - 13 sd
Callie's Picks Diamond Heels - 20 sd
Nelly Fake Fur Clutch - 12 sd

Yay or nay?
Did you like this blazer? Have you bought it?
I would love to see your own combinations in the comments!

Have a nice day, until next post.
