Hi, dollies!

C11T2 has come and gone and we've got a new issue of our #ClubEntries blog feature!
For this task, the dolls had to say what room of their house was their favorite and then try to recreate it or create their dream room. The task included a description of the justification.
Our favorites of this cycle:

Bueno-koekje_xx
My favourite room is my bedroom. I like the colours black and white combined with some vibrant colours. I tried to remake it as best as I could. I like my room the most because this is where I can be myself, do what I want and feel good. I furnished my room all by myself so it's totally me. I always listen to my favourite music in my room or watch a movie, series,... On the left side of my room stands my bed, with a little shelve about it and random stuff, like books and plants. I also enjoy reading very much and since it's always quiet in my room, it's the perfect place! On the left side of the shelf are pictures of me and my friends. On the other side of my room is my wardrobe. In front of the room you can see me desk with my computer and some more books. These books represent my school books, since I also study in my room. I hope you like it!

lolitka1444
My favourite room is my bedroom. It's not a big one tho but still there is enough space for my passions - drawing & books. It's a quite messy place, I have almost all my school stuff on desk so my mum is always telling me to clean it. I spend there almost all my time after school but i love it. I have a room for myself and no one interrupt me when I'm studying, drawing or reading.

Girl-Sahar444
I selected 2 colors for the room decor Orange and White. The reason I chose these colors is that they look so great together, but it is not mostly used combination.I tried to create a room suitable for people who are looking for unique, vintage and edgy styled room. Elegant yet stylish was the main aim. I like big and comfy rooms. I especially like the accessories in a room I believe that if they are placed right a room can look great. There are 2 sides of a room. On one side there is bed along with wardrobe and comfy chair. On the other side I made a fireplace.
I used a fireplace because everyone needs one their room during winter especially where I live. The wardrobe is kind of like attached to the wall. I liked it's design because I love a bit emboridered things and they make nice additions to the room. I used things to color co-ordinate the room so that it looks like one unit!

coolgirlk94
Because one of my favourite hobbies is reading and creating crafts, I thought that I would make a workshop kind of a room, where I can spend a quiet yet creative and fun time.
I like the minimalistic combination with vintage style, so I decided to go with that theme for the room design.

amaia_estebanez
My favourite room of my house is definitely my room. It's where I spend most of my time and where I feel most comfortable. It's a place that is all for me and I get to do whatever I like: watch movies, listen to music, write, read magazines and books. Besides, there is a window next to my desk (where I usually do all of those things) and I love how bright and lovely it gets when the sun comes through it, brightening the whole room and putting me in a really good mood. I also love when it rains and I hear the sound of it against my window, it's really calming. I also think that it's the room that represents me most, as I still live with my parents and I did not get to choose how to decorate any other room.

First, I tried to recreate my real bedroom, but I could not find the right furniture to do that, so instead I decided to create the one I dream of having. First, I wanted it to be calming and bright, hence the colour of the walls and the huge window. I also chose this particular room because I would love to live in a big city (the view from the window). Once I established that, I went for light and neutral colour for the furniture as well. After that I added a pop of colour and a bit of life with plants (a must!), I probably went a bit to far with that (but too many plants it's not a thing, right?). I also thought it was necessary for me to add something fashion related and as I would love to have a separate room for my clothes, I went for fashion books and magazines, which I love to read. At the end, I thought there was something else missing and I realise I had no pet! And well, that's the end result!

All the entries were amazing! I'm so happy for all you're accomplishing and how many things you've learnt. I'm looking forward to seeing your next tasks!

Welcome back to the 4th edition. It's been a little while since I've reviewed what's come out recently, but here's what I think about: Callie's Picks, 9 to 5, Pretty N' Love, Voile, and Subcouture that was all released over the past week or so.

Pick № 1 - Striped Bow Blouse | Callie's Picks

This sweet and simple top is so versatile and easy to style. The decoration is simple and make an easy piece to pull a look together or style around. The bow is not too ambitious and is a nice "accessory" to the top, and helps add a little mariner vibe to the finish piece.

Pick № 2 - Embroidered Blouse | Pretty N' Love

Although this is a SS only item, this top is still a unique and somewhat different piece from what we've been seeing recently. The beautiful pied details on the bottom of the blouse make it a special piece to own. It also makes a great statement piece to compliment any all black ensembles.

Pick № 3 - Valentino Inspired Midi Dress | Voile
This release from Voile was insanely expensive, but I think a few pieces from the collection are really worth it. Like this off the shoulder dress. It's cream color makes it an easy style, allowing you to pair it with all sorts of colorful accessories and such. The style of the dress also makes it a fantastic summer piece for a cute, soft look.

Pick № 4 - Ripped Denim Swing Coat | Subcouture
I was rather impressed with the recent release of Subcouture (as always). Although a few pieces may have looked unconventional to some, I think this brand is always a great collection to gather pieces from for people who are experimental and love "different" pieces like myself. This is an easy throw on piece that can work with almost anything, despite it's outrageous price.

Pick № 5 - Pearl Beaded Loose Fit Denim | Subcouture
Again, Subcouture did not fail to impress. Some may not have chosen these pants as one of their top items, but I definitely enjoyed this piece although we've had a lot of notorious denim releases. Their easy mom jean style and pearl embellishments complete the look and make it an overall classic piece that you should've grabbed (definitely over the pastel pink mom jeans).

Worst Release of the Week: 9 to 5
This was by far the worst items that stardoll had released. The pieces weren't unique or different from much they've released in the past, and the items were, quite frankly, boring. I honestly do think that it would've been better if they'd not released a 9 to 5, or took a little more time putting it all together.

I apologize for such late releases of posts all bombarding at once; I've been extremely busy, but I hope to return to a normal schedule once things have slowed down.

*What were your favorite pieces from last week?
*Not a Wishlist Question

Forget the color black for just a moment, because for spring we're reverting to white. A new trend that's rising slowly is the LWD or the "little white dress". With millennial style taking over fashion, we're dropping the classics and trying new takes on familiar statements. Here are 4 Ways to start styling with this new-found take on a classic.

Outfit № 1 - Starcoin Styled

For this styling, I went simple and light on the accessories and colors. I added a knitted vest for some division between the monochromatic colors and flat textures in the outfit, then I added some soft wedges for a casual "thrown-on" feel. Finish the look off with some millennial flare -add a *gold choker and matching cuff to add some edge in a simple form.

Items used:
Basics - Basic White Fitted Dress
Fallen Angel - Metal Trimmed Vest
Voile - Wedge Sandal
Ms. TQ - Tight Silver Choker
Voile - Voile Gold Cuff

Outfit № 2 - Vogue Wear

Make your look magazine-cover worthy. Pair an embroidered dress with a unique sheer neck scarf, wrist watch, and a textured shoulder bag with a pop of color. Add some tall boots to elongate the look, and top it all off with a pair of Audrey sunnies.

Items Used:
Voile - Chiffon Bow Scarf
Inspired by Balmain - Kendall Thigh Highs
Vinyl - Black Sheer Pantyhose
Subcouture - Peach Marabou Purse
Bonjour Bizou - White Floral Dress
Pearls - Classic Audrey Sunglasses
Inspired by Chanel - Leather CC Bracelet

Outfit № 3 - Tough Patterns

Add some black to that white dress; add a little more excitement by adding a pattern. Put on some "tough" accessories, and add some cute boots. Dress down even the fanciest dress for a new edge on your look or to have an always wearable LWD. Lastly, pair it with a baseball hat to keep your casual theme.

Items Used:
Callie's Picks - Jacket Inspired by Philip Lim
Voile - Buckle Clutch
*Voile - Graduation Dress
Subcouture - Slouchy Black Socks
Killah - Charlun Shoes
Original Future - Faux Leather Cap
Endangered Species - Upcycled Earrings
*this is a Starcoin item
Outfit № 4 - Layered Street Style

Another magazine styled look. If you want your look to appear that you styled it as if it were top fashion, layer it over shirts, and jackets. Little to no effort for a simple and elegant style. Add some sneakers to downplay the high fashion and add a little sporty feel to your outfit. Always add some statement jewelry to enhance the high fashion feel.

Items Used:
Callie's Picks - Neoprene Bodysuit
Callie's Picks - Oversized Elle Logo Tee
Pretty N' Love - Burgundy Purse
Barbie Style Club - AU Barbie Pearl Bracelet
Nelly - Low Rise Sneakers
Inspired by Gucci - Gucci Inspired Socks
*RIO - Supersized Hoop Earrings (left)
*the second earring comes free

Wishlist Question: What's your favorite way to wear the LWD?

Fishnets are a total classic when it comes to the basic pieces. They can make their way into any style of wardrobe, and there's plenty of styles to choose from, too.

How You Wore It:

Mareyyy / MeTalMaFe1998 / ronn

Plaza Picks:

Since one pair was white and blended in with the background, I went with the names and brands rather than item pictures this time.

What I Loved:

The textures! There's so many nicely detailed items in this collection, something so rarely seen in starcoin items.

They're also  good array of genuinely basic, classic items. The last collection of this store left us with obnoxious colours and crazy stripes, neither of which are all that fun to try and style. This time, it's all sleek, mostly monochromatic with small accents of colour.

My Picks:

What I'm Unsure Of:

The lack of variety. Typically, BASICS collection have a large range of colours, of the same item - it's a huge part of it's appeal, because it means stardolls can buy something to go with everything. Other than the curtains, and floor lamps, everything is in one colour only.

While I think that the old way of making multiple floors for each colour is outdated and awkward, would it really have been that hard to put the little coloured circles, like with posed items? It seems the logical way for this store to go, to me.

Also, we can't buy the interior. As mad as I was about that 20sd BASICS (?!?!?) interior a few seasons ago, this one isn't sold at all. The Pretty N Love: Pretty Interior has the same floor, though.

What I Hated:

Seriously, what is with these insanely overpriced items? I can't see the advantage of it in starcoin pieces, unless they want to encourage broke new members to leave the game. Or buy stardollars for lack of any other real option, maybe. 285sc for a completely basic couch is utterly ridiculous.

What did you think of this collection?

Recently, I've seen a huge decline in views for the blog, and my job as a writer for the blog is to keep you interested in seeing what we have to say, and much more. I want to utilize my position, so that I can maximize your experience here on the blog. If you've read any of my posts, you may notice that I usually ask a question towards the end about what your opinion is. I've decided that the question will now be a Wishlist Question.

How it works:
For every response (either on the blog comment section or my Instagram page), you'll have a chance to win something from your wishlist! Adding an outfit to support your answer will give you an even better chance at winning (e.g. "How do you like to wear gold?" -Insert  a picture and a response-).

My goal:
To get a higher participation rate in the blog. If this change proves to be successful, the prizes may get better as we advance ( Stardollars, Wigs, Rare Items, etc. ). I want this to be more than just a place to see reviews and outfits. I want to see what you take from what we have to say.

Hopefully, you guys are supportive of this, and are willing to participate. We might as well start ASAP. The first wishlist question will be on my last post, which was my May Lookbook.
Good Luck!

Follow me on IG for notifications on posts and for easy entry:  Dollwars34

*Disclaimer*
These prizes are for my own posts and do not apply to other writers posts on this blog. This new "competition" is not required or to be used against other writers on this site. This was created by me in attempt to further reader views and participation.

"April Showers bring May flowers"
Since I haven't created a lookbook in a little while, I decided to base the theme off of this famous little nursery rhyme. Also, this could also be seen as a post-coachella lookbook, but I wanted to incorporate florals in a way other than boho looks.

Outfit Nº 1 - Floral Accessories

If you're not big on florals, or just don't have the resources available, then I suggest using this as a subtle addition to a simple outfit. In the outfit above, I kept the colors muted and simple without any colors that pop out, other than those included in the bag. I kept the base of the outfit clean cut by using all black items. I wanted to break the simplicity of the black by adding the ripped denim jacket, which added some texture, edge, and a little bit of color.

Items Used:
Bonjour Bizou - Tompkins Square Jacket
Callie's Picks - High Waisted Trousers
Nelly - Tie It Ring Body
Apries Ski - Crossover Knot Belt
Cheap Monday - Layer Boot Hide
PPQ - Belladonna Gabriel Bag

Outfit Nº 2 - Simple Skirt

Another simple and casual way to throw in some floral, is through an understated skirt. Put it together with some simple solid and textured pieces, and it comes together so simply and beautifully. The light color also allows you to freely throw in some unique colored pieces, like the violet netted top I added. Finish it off with a simple gold chain necklace for some added elegance with a touch of simplicity.

Items Used:
Original Future - Mauve Mesh Top
*Bonjour Bizou - Faded Floral Skirt
Callie's Picks - Satin Bra
Callie's Picks - Minimal Caramel Leather Heels
Subcouture - Peach Marabou Purse
Velvet Orchard - Rodeo Fringe Jacket
Hot Hot Buys - Hot Hot Buys Chain Necklace
*This skirt is currently at Callie's Picks for SC!

Outfit Nº 3 - Minimalistic Statement Dress

This ensemble is such an easy and sweet way to style a large statement piece. The key thing to remember when styling statement pieces that take over a large part of the outfit is not to overdress it. If you add too many accessories or add the wrong accessories, the outfit could turn out terribly (even when using the smallest, insignificant pieces). Keep them light and simple.

Items Used:
Callie's Picks - Flower Printed Oversize Tee
Cheap Monday - Clean Cut Shirt
Callie's Picks - White Box Logo Purse
RIO - Supersized Rope Hoop Earrings Left (Right earring comes as a gift)
Callie's Picks - Minimalist Alexander Heels
Couture Tribute - Black and Gold Coco Watch

Outfit Nº 4 - Pattern Mixing
I will never stop loving this trend. Make a bold outfit by mixing your floral piece with another patterned object. Here, I added the star pattern, and tartan fabric to add a little appeal to the outfit than just a simple floral top with matching bottoms. I added some spring booties and finished the look off with a detailed gold plate necklace.

Items Used:
Decades - Roaring White Blazer
Subcouture - Frayed Star Denim Skirt
Callie's Picks - Paisley Patterned Top
Callie's Picks - White Collared Crop Top
Vinyl - Black Sheer Pantyhose
Callie's Picks - Charcoal Ankle Boots
Callie's Picks - Groot Socks
Tommy Hilfiger Tribute - Tommy Flannel Knapsack
RIO - Solid Gold Necklace

Outfit Nº 5 - Starcoin Styling

This is a really sweet styling to finish off the soft springy days we're leaving behind. You can't deny looking a little fancy and elegant -even in SC. It may not be the best composed outfit you've ever seen, but this is definitely a simple and easy outfit to add in some florals into your ensemble.

Items Used:
Basics - Basic White Short Top
Pretty n' Love - Heidi Embellished Skirt
Pearls - Concho Buckle Belt
Voile - Chiffon Bow Scarf
Voile - Voile Gold Cuff
Voile - Pink Shoes

What's your favorite floral piece and how would you wear it?

The Title Says It All

Voile has always been a little more pricey than other stores, and typically carries items based off of designer brands. But that doesn't make it a tribute store, not does it mean I'm paying 36SD for CURTAINS!!!

What I Kind Of Liked:

There's nothing to rave about here. Personally, I like... the theme. But that's pretty much it.

What I Hated:

Oh, the graphics! The super flat-chested, ugly graphics. Where do I even start? The only particularly nice item, is probably only nice because the lace covers up the total lack of decent shading.

Secondly, is the generic whiteness of it all. I would have preferred to have seen the original versions of these items, in their original colours, in a tribute store. Making it all-white is just a waste, and then there's cultural issues on top of that. Many Asian cultures use red for weddings. And there's also the tradition of "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue." And there's girls who just don't want to wear a dress.

Oh, and I almost for got to mention the single, horrendously overpriced, starcoin item. Earrings.

Hello, dollies!

So Cycle 10 ended today, and with it closing we had a lot of amazing tasks.
Task 4 was about ice and fire, and portraying it creatively in the doll's albums.
Here are our Tasks of the Week:

amaia_estebanez

Honeybee62

elyssedeloro

What do you think of this amazing entries?
I think they're both creative and unique!

See you in Cycle 11,

What I Loved:

There's so many super cute, original, nicely textured pieces! I'm not usually into such girly clothes, but they suit the theme of the store.

It's a very trendy, current collection with cold shoulders, sheer, and embroidery. Whoever collated and designed these definitely knew what they were doing, and actually listened to members' requests.

My Picks:

What I Hated:

Firstly, the prices. 20sd is a lot to pay for a jacket that isn't a hotbuy or tribute piece. Then, there's only one starcoin item, and even with my Royalty discount bringing it to 144sc, it's insanely expensive for a very basic skirt.

An I can't forget to mention the Frilled Shorts. These are so wrong, in so many ways, I don't really even know where to start. They look like the kind of freebies that never leave the last page of your closet, and so not something that anyone would ever pay stardollars for.

On The Fence:

As a paying member, I truly wish there were more exclusive things and regular rewards for Superstars. This collection has two items which are superstar-only. While that does make them slightly more exclusive, the items themselves aren't anything special. We've had plenty of embroidered shorts before, and plenty of long sleeved, cropped tops.

And that's the other thing - fractionally edited versions of stuff we already have is become all too common. With this collection, they're different enough that I didn't instantly notice it. But I did notice in the end, and it left me feeling vaguely disappointed.

What did you think of this collection?
